The Coordinating Committee will communicate with members of the CCPN on a regular basis and will oversee activities to carry out specific actions of the Network. Each Expert Panel is focused around one or more of the Network's six strategic priorities. The five Expert Panels are: Communications & Marketing Knowledge Translation Monitoring, Surveillance & Evaluation Policy & Environment Priority Programs & Health Disparities (Population Interventions) The Expert Panels are responsible for conducting analysis of CVD gaps, developing annual work plans, ensuring successful implementation of work plan activities, and identifying CCPN priority initiatives. The Panels will bring forth recommendations for identifying CCPN Priority Initiatives for implementation during each planning cycle and will provide oversight to implementation of these priority initiatives. The Expert Panels will serve as the coordinating mechanism for regional activity under their respective areas of responsibility. Each of the Expert Panel Chairs will act to ensure maximum integration with the activities of other standing committees.
